Why did that take 14 innings: Phillies 3, Fish 1

Sigh. It wasn't a sweep and it really needed to be. Well, as much as a series needs to be a sweep in mid-April. The Phillies took 2 of 3 from the Marlins, but only outscored them by 3 god damn runs, 15-12.

If it wasn't for Jean Segura hitting his first homer as a Phillie, on a ball he had no business hitting out, we would be looking at a series loss to Miami and like, nah. The offense is inconsistent and it scares me to death.

Victor Arano looked amazing this weekend, pitching in 2 games for a total of 4 innings while not allowing a run and striking out 7. More of that, please. On Sunday he struck out the side in back to back innings in the 12th and 13th, it was pretty fucking good imo.

Harper had a double and has reached base every single game this year so far. I love him so much I want to rip my heart out and get it bronzed and have him sign it.

So in the end it was a series W for the Phillies, keeping them in first place ahead of the shitass Braves and Mets, who come to town tonight. God I fucking hate the Mets.

Go Phillies.
